Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

The Seahawks are marked as favourites for this game, but they have had a very indifferent season. On the other hand, the Arizona Cardinals possess the best record in the league (9-1) and have won nine on the bounce. They have faced some tougher tests as the season has progressed, but have so far overcame everything thrown at them. They showed their defensive grit last week by beating the NFC North conference leaders the Detroit Lions in a closely fought game . The Seahawks are the defending Superbowl champions and obviously have quality in their ranks, but they aren’t replicating the form of last year and I don’t think they will cover the line on offer, making Cardinals look pretty good for the default + line.

Denver Broncos vs Miami Dolphins

The Broncos are a great team but I feel Miami can match them defensively and they are fighting with all their might for a playoff place. The Dolphins possess one of the best overall defences in the league, notably second best against the pass. Manning, as we know is a formidable QB, but he has been off form the past couple of weeks and it will be a tough game for him to find his feet against a defence that has given some other notable QB’s issues already this year. I do feel Manning and the home advantage will give Broncos the win, but the -6 line is a little bit too close to call. The conditions won’t be great in Denver and I can imagine this being a low scoring game so I am going for the default under line.

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys

The line on offer is fairly close, but the Giants defence just doesn’t cut the mustard for me (bottom of NFL against the run), and De Marco Murray will literally run all over them. I expect him to put up some decent yardage and at least a touchdown or two. The Cowboys are fully rested for this game and the Giants have lost five on the bounce. It’s close to call because the Dallas defence has problems too, and if Eli Manning has a good game, or Rashad Jennings hits the ground running after coming back from injury, they could concede some points. The fact that Dallas is having a better year, has fewer injury worries and a weeks rest, all point to a victory for me. I’ll be taking the default handicap line.
