Fulham vs Charlton Athletic – English Championship

Fulham are favourites for this game, despite being 22nd in the table and Charlton sitting one point (and improved goal difference) from 3rd spot. Charlton have won 2 in 5 and Fulham 3, including 2 on the bounce in the Championship. Although Fulham have a new manager, some renewed vigour and determination, they have still conceded a whopping 25 goals. Defences don’t get turned around in weeks and I fully expect Charlton to take advantage of this and if not get the win, at least score. Fulham will be raring for this and I think they have enough firepower to put one past Charlton who are waning after a good start to the year. Charlton have only won once on the road, but have also lost only one game this year, I see a score draw on the cards.

Ajaccio vs Valenciennes – France Ligue 2

Ligue 2 is renowned for it’s close games and competitiveness. Every team has lost a game so far with only eleven games played, it is also a league where a draw is very commonplace. Ajaccio are in second place and Valenciennes sit way down in 16th with one of the highest  goals conceded, although Ajaccio have conceded 14 but still somehow remain in second place with a goal difference of +1. The BTTS and Ajaccio result market did look tempting due to Ajaccio’s leaky defence but as Valenciennes are away from home and have the second lowest goals scored record in the league, I feel Ajaccio at straight win is safer.
